Dell Optiplex GX280 (circa 2004) USB problems?

Check the Dell website to make sure you have the latest Main Board drivers. There was a conflict that occured when you have a USB key board & USB Mouse and it interfering with new USB device setup programs. To be sure I updated the dell drivers, put on a new Microsoft Mouse (still USB because this CPU doesn't have PS2 ports) -- rebooted, then installed the HP printer software (without plugging in the printer-- check the box and say don't detect printer now), after install, then reboot computer, then after reboot connect the printer & the computer will find it and say new device found .. And youre done. http://support.dell.com
