Intel has a chart for this, but it's still hard to tell on Dell computers.
The box says older SATA cards and Motherboards, but how old? 1 year, 2 years?
Best to open the computer and look at the chip yourself.
If it's older make sure to add the jumper to the SATA drive or setup according to the box.
